Comparative analysis of advantages and disadvantages of cast aluminum box and cast iron box:
1) Weight:
The specific gravity of aluminum is lighter than that of iron. Under the same structure, the aluminum casing is much lighter than the cast iron casing;
2) Strength:
In the case of the same volume, the strength of cast aluminum is less than that of cast iron;
3) Heat dissipation
Aluminum is a good conductor of heat, its thermal conductivity is 3 times larger than iron;
4) Corrosion resistance and strength:
The surface of aluminum has a dense oxide protective film and is not susceptible to corrosion. Cast iron is far less resistant to corrosion than cast aluminum.
