Die Casting Products Design Principles
After the wall thickness is thinned, it is used to increase the strength and rigidity of the part, to prevent or reduce the shrinkage deformation of the casting, to avoid deformation when the workpiece is pushed out from the model, and to assist the loop (the path of metal flow) when filling.
The thickness of the rib should be less than the thick bottom of the wall. Generally, 2/3~3/4 of the thickness of the wall is taken.
Under good filling conditions, the surface roughness of die castings is generally two grades lower than that of the moulding surface. The surface roughness of die casting generally increases with the increase of the number of die use.
